Weekly Update for next week!

Yesterday 59 students enjoyed an ice cream treat for reaching their reading goal. Second graders read 5 pts and 3rd, 4th, and 5 th graders read 8 pts during the month of September. Great job of starting the school year off right.

Good luck to the Warner Monarch Cross Country team as they head to Ipswich to take part in the Lake Region Conference Cross Country Meet. The event will be a rolling schedule, with Varsity Girls 5000 M starting at 12:30, followed by Varsity Boys, JV girls 4000 M, JV boys, MS Girls 3000 M, and MS Boys. The meet will take place at the athletic complex in Ipswich (football field/track) and not the golf course. Good luck, and GO MONARCHS!!!!

PINK OUT! October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the Monarch volleyball team will be hosting a Pink Out match vs. Faulkton on Thursday, October 12. An Arby’s Roast Beef meal will be served and pink extensions and hair donations will be available on the south end of the gym. Pledge a player and pink ribbons (to honor those who have lost a battle to cancer as well as those fighting cancer and survivors) will again be available and forms are attached. Please return by Oct. 10th. Forms will also be available the night of the game. All proceeds from this event go to support local residents and families battling cancer and other illnesses. You can VENMO your donations this year at: Warner-School Donate Your Hair For A Cause The Night of Pink Out is Thursday, October 12th. We will be doing our hair donation during the volleyball games as children are in need of free wigs. We will collect hair donations through the month of November. It takes up to 8 people to donate in order to make one free wig for a child who has hair loss due to cancer or another disease. If you or someone you know might be interested in donating a minimum of 8 inches, or if you have questions about hair donation, please contact Mrs. McNeil.

It was pumpkin painting week in Warner Art Classes! JK-1. See if you can spot yours! ;) Thank you to Glen Palmer for your vision & to Mrs. Evans for helping facilitate that vision!

The Kindness Act for October 19-October 31 will be donating coats to those in need. You may bring your gently used coats to the Warner School between the dates above. We ask that they be clean, working zippers, and no tears in them. We will be collecting all sizes and the coats will be given to local organizations. Monarchs Who Care will be helping with this project.

The Glen Palmer pumpkin patch was harvested on Thursday, September 28th thanks to Junior Kindergarten, Kindergarten and 3rd grade. 150 various sized pumpkins were excitedly picked and shared.

Good luck to the Warner Monarch Volleyball team as they head to Redfield to participate in the Redfield Pheasants VB Classic. The Monarchs first match will be against Beresford at 9:00 AM in the Auxiliary Gym. Their second match will be at 10:40 vs. Timber Lake, also in the Auxiliary Gym.
