Celebrating Warner High School's National Blue Ribbon Award

Congratulations to the staff, students, and community of Warner High School for being recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School. We are thrilled to be among the 356 schools honored by the U.S. Department of Education through their Blue Ribbon Schools program. Warner High School is proud to be the only high school in South Dakota nominated for this prestigious award this year. We also celebrate alongside fellow South Dakota schools: Lincoln Elementary in Aberdeen, Lennox Elementary, and Christ the King Elementary from Sioux Falls Catholic Schools.

Warner High School earned this recognition for Excellence in Academic Achievement, a result of the dedicated efforts of our staff and students. The commitment to meeting high academic standards across the entire school system has been key to this accomplishment. We deeply appreciate the dedication to pushing boundaries, fostering a growth mindset, and inspiring others to achieve their best.

This drive for excellence is not a new or isolated concept. It has been ingrained in our school culture from the elementary level all the way through to high school. This culture, built over time by our dedicated staff and supportive community, continues to guide our pursuit of excellence in all areas—academics, extracurricular activities, and beyond. I am incredibly grateful for our staff’s unwavering commitment to our students, as they consistently model leadership and high expectations by example.

On November 7th and 8th, Mr. Brad Heath and I had the privilege of representing Warner High School at the official Blue Ribbon ceremony in Washington, D.C. There, we had the opportunity to engage with schools from across the country, participate in roundtable discussions, hear from inspiring speakers, and celebrate with other deserving awardees. We also visited several iconic monuments and memorials, including a tour of the U.S. Capitol building.

Once again, congratulations to all the Blue Ribbon recipients, and to our students, staff, and community for their continued support. This award is a direct reflection of our commitment to hard work, discipline, and focus. It stands as a testament to the quality of education at the Warner School District—thanks to the dedication of all our staff and students.NBRS CeremonyNBRSNBRSNBRSNBRS NBRS
