We kicked off our Snowball Showdown with some very special guests! To help start our JK–5 Snowball Showdown, Miss Warner (Addisyn Heinrich), Jr. Miss Warner (Leah Heinrich), Little Miss Warner (Turner Gatzemeyer), and Little Mister Warner (Gabe Hageman) stopped by to read to our students.
The book of the day was There Was a Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow! ❄️📖—and the kids loved it! Lots of laughs, great listening, and the perfect way to get everyone excited about reading, earning snowballs, and having some winter fun along the way.

❄️ Winter Reading Kickoff - The Snowball Showdown! 📚
Our JK–5 Winter Reading Promotion kicks off today and runs through January 31st—and we’re starting with a snowball of fun!
Here’s how it works:
📖 For every 10 AR points your class earns, you get one snowball.
🎯 Snowballs can be thrown to another class.
❄️ The goal is to earn as many snowballs as possible to send flying!
🏆 The twist:
At the end of the promotion, the class with the fewest snowballs gets to help pick the final activity—so every point counts!
Grab a book, cozy up, and let the reading (and snowball throwing) begin! 📘☃️
Get ready for a big night of basketball as your Monarchs take on the Groton Tigers in an exciting doubleheader showdown! Bring the energy, bring the noise, and pack the house!

If your child is home sick today, we kindly ask that they stay home and not attend tonight’s concert. We know that’s disappointing, but it helps keep everyone healthy.
